Ibak PANORAMO SI- 3D Optoscanner for Manhole Inspection Nuova Contec, Ibak sole distributor for Italian market, presents PANORAMO SI, the 3D Optoscanner for Manhole Inspection.
PANORAMO SI uses two high resolution digital cameras with specially designed distortion-free wide-angle lenses.
These optically scan the entire interior of the manhole in a few seconds in one single
vertical run.
The digitally transmitted image data is at the operator‘s disposal immediately as a live picture. The condition of the manhole is then assessed optionally in the office or directly on site.
Unlike a video film from a conventional pan and rotate camera which only shows the section of view saved at the time of filming, the IBAK PANORAMO SI viewer software provides an all-round inspection of the manhole. The inspector can stop at any position in the manhole, do a 360° pan, zoom and take snapshots.
Simultaneously, an unfolded view of the manhole can be generated. This gives a rapid overview of the condition of the structure and enables the user to measure objects on the manhole walls.

Study about mechanical resistance of quick-setting mortars for manhole frame levelling Nuova Contec performed a deep study about the mechanical resistance of mortars Ergelit Grout Rapid 40 and Superfix 35F, certified by Istituto Giordano - Rimini.
On a national level, the only official document about installation and laying of crowning and closing devices in vehicle a/o pedestrian areas is Technical Report UNI-TR 11256, part of Italian normative system from the 20th September 2007. NCT, all long interested on research, wanted to test the mechanical resistance of its products compared to technical characteristics settled by the law.
Test proved that values of compression strength with respect to maintenance times of Superfix 35F and Grout Rapid 40 are higher than the Report ones. The only exception was the value of compression strength after 24h of Grout Rapid 40; despite that, the cycle loading test showed how this mortar is capable of resist heavy cycle loading (10 ton) already only one hour after operation ending and with start-testing temperature lower than the Report one.
Tests also certified that both mortars are highly resistant to frost, have a very low penetration depth of water and a paltry quantity of chlorides.
