IGENIO - WHEEL-MOUNTED TILTABLE MULTIPLE BIN SYTEM FOR DIFFERENTIATED WASTE COLLECTION

Igenio is a wheel-mounted multiple bin system that can be installed on commercial vehicles with a carrying capacity of  5000 kg. Its structure is entirely made of high-tensile DOMEX steel and it features the following:
• Contained overall dimensions such that it can be positioned in a parking space for normal vehicles.

• 4 stabilizing ascent/descent hydraulic cylinders of which the two at the front are hydraulically extendible (300 mm per side) and the two at the rear are fixed.
• 5 separate collection bins of various lengths, multifunctional and interchangeable by type of waste, in light aluminium alloy and each equipped with an independent tilting system.
• Max. capacity: approx. 8 cubic metres over the 5 bins
• Max. carrying capacity: approx. 1000 kg over the 5 bins
• System in compliance with the EC regulations and the laws in force on safe use of mobile and/or wheel-mounted equipment. Warning lights and acoustic alarms in the cabin for proper positioning and locking of the multiple bin system on the transport vehicle.

The mounting/dismounting operations as well as ascent and descent of the individually tiltable bins are remotely driven using a multichannel on/off handheld radio control. The radio control together with the simple automatic sequential manoeuvring system allows only one operator to work in full safety thus preventing handling errors. Each of the waste collection bins is equipped with two bilateral symmetrical covers with a handle for manual opening, and on one side an additional pedal system. Each cover also has an electric lock. This device is electronically driven and powered by a buffer battery which is automatically recharged with the aid of solar panels (installed on the fixed central upper part of the bins) and uses dedicated software for data acquisition, storage and final download necessary for overall control of the individual waste collection operations. At this point, the authorised users equipped with a recognition device provided by the company (connected to the data acquisition and storage software) can start dumping the differentiated waste into the separate collection bins. When the bins are full, the operator returns to pick up the the multi-bin platform and starts mounting it onto the vehicle. This operation takes about 4-5 minutes. A flow distributor in the hydraulic feed system allows mounting and dismounting the structure perfectly level irrespective of the load distribution. The operator then returns to the company’s headquarters for the bin emptying operations. The individual bins are emptied with the aid of an independent tilting device remotely driven by a multi-channel radio control. The equipment is in compliance with EC regulations for operator and user safety. Igenio is a wheel-mounted multiple bin system for differentiated household waste collection. Igenio makes life easier for enterprises dealing in differentiated waste collection and simultaneous recovery of the various types of waste material produced by domestic and non-domestic users. The operator sets off from the company’s headquarters with IGENIO mounted on the transport vehicle. After reaching the destination the removable multi-bin platform is dismounted from the vehicle in about 4 minutes using a remote control. The operator then returns to headquarters with the empty vehicle available for the next transport.
